Peter founded the Valhalla Group in 2014. He is a serial entrepreneur who has clocked up 46 years of tax experience with HMRC, KPMG and Rawlinson & Hunter before forming his practice 25 years ago.
Outside work Peter has a busy family life and enjoys Devon, the film industry, shooting and rugby in equal measure.
John first worked with Peter Nichols at Chancery in 2008 and was a founder member of Valhalla PCS LLP. A qualified Chartered Management Accountant with a Multinational background, John’s role at Valhalla is that of Managing Partner with additional responsibility for tax planning, financial analysis and modelling. Married with three children, John enjoys tennis, skiing and travel.
Colin has been a Tax Partner at Valhalla PCS LLP since formation in 2014. Colin heads up the tax team providing services such as personal, trust and business tax returns.
Alan worked for HMRC for twelve years before joining the other side. He started working alongside Peter in 1998 and his main role involves the administration and reporting of the property schemes. Alan’s interests include spending time with family and friends, Sunderland AFC, travelling and a good social life (although some will say not necessarily in that order)!
Lynn has worked for Valhalla PCS LLP since 2014. Previous employments include various Government departments including the National Insurance Office and HMRC. Lynn is responsible for Personal Tax, Trust Tax, Business Tax. In her spare time Lynn enjoys walking her dog, Harley and visiting her house in Spain to enjoy the warm sunny weather.
David will join Valhalla in April 2017. After graduating from Nottingham Business School, he qualified as a Chartered Accountant with BDO LLP. Since qualifying, David has worked in both the Television and Manufacturing sectors. He believes passionately in working with clients to deliver a top end service. David enjoys rural life in Kent, and is often found snowboarding in the Alps in winter.
Sandra has worked with Valhalla from the start and is responsible for the behind scenes finance and the internal accounting records. Her working life started with National Westminster Bank and then led onto various Management Accounting roles and Group Finance Director. Outside of the business her main priority is spending time with her seven grandchildren who are her pride and joy.
Linda has been with Valhalla PCS LLP since August 2016 and is the Bookkeeper in the Kent Office. Her 25 years’ Bookkeeping and Payroll experience has been gained mainly in the private Healthcare industry so Valhalla is a welcome change. Linda has two young grandsons and enjoys gardening, jigsaws and she plays indoor bowls having played for England at International level.
Sarah has been with Valhalla PCS LLP since May 2017 and is the Accounts Manager in the Kent Office. She worked and qualified with top 20 firm MacIntyre Hudson for 7 years where she gained a wide range of experience producing and auditing accounts of small businesses, charities, academies, medium and large businesses. Sarah enjoys country music, anything cowboy related, Cornwall, Belgium beers and spending time with her niece and three nephews.
Brenda started with Valhalla PCS LLP in May 2014 as an Administrator and has experience since 1974 in the Civil Service, Local Government, Accounting Industry and Human Resources. In her spare time, she loves to garden (weather permitting) and Pilates (body willing)!
Jackie has been with Valhalla since its inception in 2014, and previously worked with the Partners at Chancery Tax LLP. She has been PA to Peter Nichols, the Senior Partner, since 2007. Jackie is married with three children and two gorgeous grandsons. She enjoys travel, music and theatre.
Marie joined the Valhalla team in June 2014 as a Receptionist/Administrator. She is generally the first point of contact for our clients on the phone and meetings. Additionally, she is involved in other aspects of administrative support.
Nadine joined the team in June 2014 as a Receptionist/Administrator.
Paul joined the team in June 2014 as a Receptionist/Administrator.
Aileen joined the Admin Team at Valhalla in April 2017 with 30 years experience as a PA including BZW and Creditanstalt Bankverein in London. Aileen enjoys dancing around the UK and abroad, walking and spending quality time with her 2 daughters, 3 grandchildren and 2 cats, Topsy & Turvy.
Jo joined the Admin team at Valhalla in March 2017 with a varied work history, including company secretarial work in the oil industry and a role as Forest School Leader in a lower school. Outside of work, Jo enjoys off-road running and swimming, when she is not out and about with her dogs.
